Put Abacus in the Brain

The abacus is an ancient tool designed to calculate numbers in an efficient and compact form. By manipulating beads on the abacus, students will gain a better understanding of numerical values through tactile and visual learning. When students have familiarized themselves with the abacus and begin to internalize abacus bead placements, they may begin to visualize the abacus and develop mental arithmetic.

o   Long-term Memory: (unlim­ited storage)
o   Processing speed: input/output Information process speed
o   Auditory processing: Skills allow­ing us to trans­late sounds into words and gen­er­ate verbal output.
